View and Download My Sucuri Backups

Once a backup has been generated, you can review its contents, download individual files and database tables, or download the complete backup.

1. Sign in to your Sucuri Account.
2. Locate the Backups column and click the icon for the website you want to access.
3. Use the calendar to select your preferred backup date.

Follow the instructions in the tabs below.

Download the Backup

1. Click Download Backup to retrieve your website’s files and database.
2. Choose Download all, Download files, or Download database.
3. Click Start Download.
   Note: Larger backups may require additional processing time before the download becomes available. Once ready, a download link will appear in the upper-right corner.
4. Click Download backup.

Warning: Backup files lack encryption and password protection and may include sensitive customer data. Handle these files in compliance with all applicable local and federal regulations governing personal information protection.

Downloaded backups are compressed as .zip files. You’ll need decompression software to extract individual files.

Use an FTP application to restore files to your website.

Backups are retained for 90 days.

View or Download Backup Content

1. To browse backup contents, click View Backup Content. When multiple backups exist for the same date, select the specific backup from the dropdown menu.
2. Click Database or Files to expand and view each section’s contents.
3. Download individual files or database tables by hovering over the desired item and clicking the Download link that appears on the right.
   Note: Larger items may require processing time before download availability. Once prepared, a download link will display in the upper-right corner.
4. Click Download backup.
   Warning: Backup files are unencrypted and unprotected, potentially containing sensitive customer information. Handle these files according to all relevant local and federal privacy protection laws.

Downloaded backups are compressed .zip files requiring decompression software to access individual contents.

Restore files to your website using an FTP application.

Backup retention period is 90 days.
